At PKT Homeschool Academy, we strive to provide a nurturing and customizable learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds. Our aim is to empower students through innovative educational practices that promote critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. We believe in the importance of individualized instruction to cater to each child's unique strengths and interests. It's all about preparing them for future success while fostering confidence and independence.

  • Curriculum is based on guidelines provided by the Louisiana Department of Education (CCSS)

 

  • Small class sizes, allowing small-group instruction as well as one-on-one, differentiated, instruction.

9th-10th= 40 hours

Supportive Learning Environment

Is homeschooling right for your child?

If your school is failing your child and you have no other viable options (such as a quality private school), homeschooling might be the best solution. But if your child craves a group to belong to and resides near a friendly public school full of friendly faces, he might do better there. If your school has a bullying problem or your child can’t fit into the social environment, though, socializing there will probably do more harm than good. If you don’t have the time and can’t afford to take the time, then creating a successful home school might put more strain on your family and its finances than they can take.

Your Child's Other School Choices are Not Ideal?

No bullying-On average, nearly 1 in 5 students reports being bullied during the school year (National Center of Education Statistics)

Physical bullying is the most common, but psychological bullying is more common in North America and Europe.

Your Child Has Social Anxiety?

For a child with social anxiety, attending a regular school can be a daily nightmare. If your child has tried special accommodations within a conventional school, but still finds the learning process disrupted by anxiety, it may be time to consider homeschooling.
